Dr. med. Wolfgang Kauffels: Expert in Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine

Wolfgang Kauffels, MD, is a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics with extensive experience in gynecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine. Born in 1952 in Holzheim near Neuss on the Rhine, he studied human medicine at the RWTH Aachen from 1978 to 1984. After graduation, he completed his training as a physician in gynecology and obstetrics at various renowned institutions such as the Luisenhospital Aachen and the Hannover Medical School.

Dr. Kauffels specializes in the functional restoration of the gynecological organs and performs microsurgical fertility operations as well as incontinence and descensus surgery. Since 1995, he has been Senior Consultant for Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine at the Hannover Medical School, where he works under the direction of Professor Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Schlößer.

In addition, Dr. Kauffels has special expertise in art therapy and physical medicine. He headed the Department of Art Therapy at the Women's Clinic from 1998 to 2002 and was also responsible for the Medical Direction of Physical Medicine from 1997.

Dr. Kauffels is also an experienced surgeon and has extensive knowledge in operative gynecology including breast surgery. He also has experience in obstetrics and perinatology as well as ultrasound diagnostics.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kauffels has completed a variety of education and training courses, including Medical Psychotherapy and the Leadership Development Program. In 2004, he earned a diploma in Health Management from HSHM+GISMA Hannover.

Since April 2018, Dr. Kauffels has been part of the Kinderwunsch Zentrum team in Hannover, Germany, where he brings his expertise in gynecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine to help couples fulfill their fertility.

Dr. Kauffels is a member of numerous medical associations and societies, including the German Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the German Society of Endocrinology, and the European Society of Reproductive Medicine and Embryology.
